About Misty

I am a Texas girl living in chilly Minnesota!  The thing I miss most about Texas, other than my family, of course, is the TexMex.  You may be asking why in the world would a TX Girl move to MN? I did go from extreme heat to unbareable cold?  Well, it was all for love… my wonderful husband talked me into it.   Isn’t love why we do most of the crazy things we do in life?

The purpose for this blog is to share things that inspire,uplift and encourage people.  My goal is to bring the Hope of Jesus Christ, to brighten your day and make you smile. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading Life with Misty!

  1. Inspire, uplift, encourage. I like your perspective. Thanks for stopping in at my site because now I have found yours and I like it. One question though…did your husband come from MN, or how did he decide to go there?

  2. Misty, love that name. I’m so glad you liked the Brown Vortex bit on Paper, Mud and Me. I lived in Minnesota for 20 years back in the 60-70’s. The fall colors are like nowhere else in the world. I also lived in Fort Worth area from 2002 – 2005 so I know a little about your 2 worlds. My son, before he went to be with the Lord, worked for Kenneth Copeland Ministries. I don’t know if you are familiar with them or not.
    I will be following you. in addition to the Paper, Mud and Me blog site I also have a website – paulsbooks.net.

    • Hi Paul- thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I am familiar with Kenneth Copeland! That is so neat to have a few things in common! I appreciate your comment. I hope to hear more from you- I will check out your site too. – Misty

  3. It’s funny, we live near Houston and the restaurants you named are my wife’s favorites too! Her sister now lives in California and when she comes to visit the first thing she wants to do, usually on the way from the airport, is go to eat tex/mex!

  4. I know the Beautiful Blogger Award seems to come around a lot, but when it does I end up listing your site among the 7, as I think you have a great word, and people should hear it. I hope more people find you through this last award that I just listed you again. Stay blessed, sister!

  5. Well, you have brightened my day, made me smile, and encouraged me by liking my post of “Murder At Sea” on Paper, Mud and Me. On Wednesdays I’ll tell you a little bit about the mud I play with and on Fridays you’ll hear about me. Thanks again – Aloha – pjs.

  6. First, thanks for stopping by my new blog. I don’t believe in luck or coincidence, but I do believe in divine intervention, even when it appears to be a natural thing! Was the Lord intervening in your life to bring you to my blog, or was the Lord intervening in my life to bring me to your blog? Why not both?
    I am looking forward to reading more of your posts. They are cheery and bright! I like that. They definitely fulfill your tagline; Inspire – Uplift (edify) – Encourage! Not too different from mine, (though yours is more “cheery”) Just goes to show how the Holy Spirit loves to use diversity to create unity in His Body!
    I probably wouldn’t have found yours, if you hadn’t of visited mine. Had a blog once before but didn’t last long due to troubles with it so still learning the workings behind everything. I am going to enjoy following along with yours and also, I have a Links Page that I will put your link on, if you don’t mind. If you do, I’ll take it down, no questions asked! But—until I get back to your posts—–;
    God bless you as you continue to serve (minister) to the Lord and to all who “stroll” through your blog! And thanks so much for using what the Lord has gifted you with, it is truly what makes His “Church” whole!
