Everyone loves Friday, but for most of us Monday is another story. We wish we had one more day added to the weekend, right? When the alarm goes off Monday morning we hit the snooze button multiple times, dreading the fact that we have to go back to work and start another week. Today, I decided to jot down the top 5 reasons why Monday’s can be great. You should do the same. It just takes getting a new perspective on this amazing day… Monday.
# 1 Coffee – Just think what Monday would be like without coffee! Terrible in my opinion, because I love coffee. Coffee makes Monday so much better. Go grab a cup right now you’ll see.
#2 Just the fact that you have a job to go to. Let’s face it, having a job these days is truly something to be thankful for. If you have a great job like I do, then you should really count your blessings. Be thankful for what God has blessed you with.
#3 God’s Mercies are new every morning – “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT) God gives us a fresh new start every day …. even on Monday! 🙂 So, take a deep breath and tell yourself, “Today is a new day!”
#4 Monday’s are a new beginning– Last week is behind you, make this week great! A fresh new start is always good. Get a new attitude today. Be positive about your work, your co-workers, your boss. If you don’t work outside the home, be positive about your family. Find an opportunity to bless them today. Do something kind for someone today. When you get your mind off of yourself and do something nice for someone else, it always brightens your day!
#5 You get what you expect– If you expect Monday to be great, it will be! That goes for Tuesday, Wednesday … you get the point. Expect good things to happen in your life today. God has an amazing day planned for you! Today is going to be filled with Hope, Thankfulness, Peace, and everything Good! Go out today and make your Monday Amazing!!!
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 NLT
