Ignite A Fire In Your Soul

“Ignite…a fire within you…changing you from the inside out…

All of us want to impact others and think beyond ourselves.  Deep down it’s a desire that God placed in each of us to do something great, to make a difference and to fulfill a higher purpose.  We’ve all felt the nagging feeling inside that there is something more… something bigger to accomplish in this world.  God does have a bigger purpose for us all.  We must pursue it with passion if we will find it!  So often, we are settled in to our lives as they are.  We go through the motions not really knowing how to break free.  What is it that holds us back?  Have you ever felt like you were going around in circles, trying to succeed, but something was keeping you from your dreams, your goals, your purpose in life?

Have you ever thought that the thing holding you back might be YOU? Our soul is made up of our mind, our will and our emotions.  It is how we operate in this life.  It determines the choices we make, the thoughts we dwell on, and the way we interact with people.  If your soul is off track, then your life will begin to derail.  You will go in circles, or even worse, crash and burn in life.  Things won’t go right, you will feel off, distracted, anxious, hopeless and defeated. I have great news today!  God can heal your soul and set your life on a course that is amazing.  The Lord wants to ignite a fire in your soul and set you free from everything that holds you back from fulfilling your God- given destiny.  Let hope be the anchor of your soul today! Hope that Jesus can take you from the place you are now, and bring you into a full place abounding in life, real life!

It starts by realizing that you are where you are today because of the decisions you have made in the past.  In other words, the joy, peace, and hope you are experiencing, or the sadness, anxiety and hopelessness you feel today is a result of a choice you made in the past.  We are a sum total of the choices we have made.  Think about this…you are one choice away from changing everything.  Change your mind & you will change your life!

How can we change for the better? How can we ignite a fire in our soul and start fulfilling our true purpose in this life?

God and His word can set us free in the area of our soul.  It is time to be free of toxic thoughts, strongholds, and destructive habits.  Strip off every weight and run the race with purpose and passion.  Begin to dig deep into God’s Word (The Bible) and let His word set you free in your mind. Spend time in prayer & fasting, and let God change you from the inside out.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” Hebrews 12:1 NLT

The greatest disappointment in life would be to leave this world without ever fulfilling your dreams or realizing & reaching your potential.  It all starts in your soul.  Get your mind right, your will (the choices you make), and your emotions in line with God and you will do great and mighty things for God!!!
