Hope is our anchor

anchor

“This hope is a safe anchor for our souls. It will never move…” – Hebrews 6:19

We all have days when we feel hopeless.  You may have thoughts running through your mind like, “This situation will never change, this person will never change, things never work out for me…”  If we allow these thoughts to take over our minds we will lose hope.  Hope is so extremely important in our lives!  Without hope we are depressed, discouraged and destined to fail in life.  The clinical definition of depression is someone who has lost hope!  The Bible has a lot to say about hope.  Hope is our anchor, it keeps us from drifting in the wrong direction.  Hope keeps us in the right frame of mind.  It helps us to expect the good, not the bad, to believe the best, not the worst.  Hope is a happy anticipation that something good is about to happen! When we hope in God we will find strength, and peace in any circumstance!

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” – Isaiah 40:31

hold on

If you are having a tough time today, don’t lose hope!  God knows your situation and He will cause all things to work for your good!  Hope in God. He will not fail you! He will not let you down!  He has the answer you need!  He will make a way for you!  If you fix your hope on God; no matter what you go through in life; you will rise to the top. The Lord will restore to you double for all of your trouble if you are a prisoner of hope!

“Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you.” – Zechariah 9:12
