Most of us think about 60,000 thoughts a day and researchers tell us that for the average person, 48,000 of those thoughts are negative. This statistic is crazy! Our thoughts determine our actions and our actions set the tone for our life, either positive or negative. It all starts with a thought. So, with this being said, if we want to change our lives for the good, we must change the way we think!
A lot of us make excuses for our negative thought patterns, and some don’t even realize they are negative. We blame other people and things that have happened. If we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit that it’s not other people or even our circumstances. Negativity within us is our own worst enemy.

We can spend our whole lives trying to fix everyone and everything around us, and never realize we are being sabotaged by our own negativity. The battle is in the mind. That’s why we must transform our minds with the Word of God daily. The Word of God has the power to change us in incredible ways if we allow it too.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Our internal dialogue is directly connected to our destiny. We must defy our inner critic and start thinking positively concerning people and situations we face. Lies create limitations. The limitations we embrace will keep us from seeing the destiny we were created to achieve.
I heard it said, “It would be a shame to go through life and never meet the real me, never discover my destiny, because of the lies I have believed.”
The devil’s only defense against the believer is deception. It’s time we stop believing every negative thought the enemy puts in our minds and we start believing what the Word of God says about us and our circumstances!
When lies are not confronted, callings are not fulfilled. When you open yourself up to dialogue with the devil you have already lost. Eve would have been just fine in the garden if she would have ignored the serpent, but she had a dialogue with the enemy and she was deceived. We open the door to the devil by entertaining negative thoughts. I know things happen, we have all been hurt and have experienced difficult situations, but we can determine what happens in us, even if we can’t always control what happens to us!
You can choose who you listen too! Just because something is suggested doesn’t mean you have to go along with it. Ask yourself today who influences you the most? Is it a positive influence or is it negative? Let your thoughts propel you forward into an amazing life! Choose today to start winning the battle in your mind!
