Are you on a mission? Well you should be! The Apostle Paul was on a mission… His mission was to know God! In Philippians 3:10, Paul called it, “His determined purpose,” to know God! Do you need a little adventure in your life? Are you tired of the mundane, the day-to-dayness of life? We all need a purpose. We need adventure and we need a mission to live for! I have good news for you today. Your purpose is to know God. Your adventure starts when you decide to go after Him. Your mission in life is to seek HIS face, to find God and know Him more deeply than you have ever known Him before! Take a look at this verse below:
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. Jeremiah 29:13 NLT
God longs for us to seek Him, He wants to be found. Have you ever played Hide-N-Seek with your friends? You try to pick a spot that no one will ever find you… well God is not like us, He wants to be found. He is just waiting for us to find Him, so he can show us amazing things about ourselves, our life, our future! Now that’s adventure!
So, let’s be like the Apostle Paul and make our determined purpose to know God. If you are honest with yourself, you have a deep longing inside for more! We all do. God put that longing on the inside of us. Only He can fill that void in you. Let God be your source, your strength, your everything. Just like Paul, we will have to be determined to fulfill our mission. Life gets busy and stressful for all of us. If you don’t get determined to spend time with God daily, it won’t happen. It’s in the quiet times with God that you are renewed and refreshed. Your spirit can rest and hear from God. If you have been anxious or stressed lately, check your quiet time with God. It all starts there. If you seek Him first, everything else will fall into line in your life.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33 NLT
Your adventure awaits… take that first step and choose to seek God daily! He will take you places far beyond you could ever imagine!
“I don’t want to get to the end of my life and find that I just lived the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well. ”

Misty,

That’s Awesome! God is good!
Awesome message!! You are a blessing!!
Thanks Ms. Jude… you are a blessing too
How timidly we hold back fearing we will fail. Yet it is never about our ability, it is about His! Thanks for this motivational word!
Hey! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you & God bless
At age 57 I can vouch for what you say! Life has a length, width, and depth! I’m as excited about the possibilities of life now, as much as I have ever been! Without God and eternity, life has no real purpose. If all we do is die and never even know that we ever existed, what a bleak outlook on living.
Yes, I agree! Our entire purpose is found in HIM!
